Wet jeans, cheese & crackers...and a microphone.
II love that new song by Colplay. It doesn't really make much sense because he's talking something or another about Clocks, but it's still good none the less. Much better than "I'm still Jenny from the block." I should make a list of the 10 dumbest songs that I know of. That song would't come too far behind "Face down ass up, that's the way we like to fuck."
Anyhottie, I have had multiple opportunities to post to this thing, and I think I just generally lack the motivation. It's that time of the year (last week of classes!) when anything and everything is due...and I am a) procrastinating and b) not doing things. I had my Spanish class and English class presentations on Tuesday and those went well. I had a 4 page paper due on Tuesday as well for my Language 375 class, which I still have yet to start or turn in. My whole philosophy on that is that I a) need to read the stories that the paper is on, and b) it's our final exam. It was just a rough draft that was due on Tuesday, so as long as I get a kick ass paper in by next Thursday for the Final, then I'm fine. Right? I'm such a slacker at the end of the semester - it's quite sad.
BUT, it is the end of the semester and that's even more sad because 2 of my roomies are leaving me and we're getting 3 new ones. Becky B is moving back home and so is Beth and it sucks. I've had so much fun this year - I honestly have no complaints about living with either of them this year - I wish all 5 of my college years had been this fun - instead of wasting a semester with Smiles and a year with Falls. But, all good things must end - I just hope we all stay in touch.
Speaking of Becky B - yesterday was her 22nd birthday. We went to dinner at Main Street and then we went to Wayside. Let me just begin with a comment that I heard more than once by Becky - - - "Nobody likes a sober Erin." - - - Well isn't that the feel good comment of the year? I drank 2 Smirnoff Ices @ the apartment (or as my bro calls them, "beer") and took a shot of Absolut Kurant which I think is still sitting with me...it was gross. Anyway, I didn't drink at Wayside because I'm in the HOLE financial wise. (Hey Jean, thanks for NOT calling on that side of things!) And it's not so smart to spend money I don't have, on alcohol I don't need when I don't even have money to get home...well, I kinda do but it's basically robbing Peter to pay Paul...Blah blah blah, the story of my life.
Going home tonight, yipee :) I'm taking Just Jack with me - I hope she likes my house. Actually I really don't care if she does - I just hope that my cats and dog get along well with her for 5 days. The other night she escaped from her ball - yikes!
Okay, peace out for now - perhaps I'll write later o' somfin.
Quote of the day? A conversation at Wayside that took place between me and Beth.
"He looks like Joey from "Full House". "
"I was thinking more along the lines of Chris Farley."
"Well, if Chris Farley and Joey had babies, that's what they'd look like."
Oh, and a comment made by Beth when she saw "Art Boy" for the first time: (Which I haven't met him yet, but I hear he's beautiful - and Becky told me to write this)
"His name should be Gabriel. He's an angel!"
Gotta love our Elizabeth May :)
The whole title of this post - I walked to class in rain, thus my jeans are wet. And my breakfast which I am curently eating - is cheese & crackers with water. Yum.
