After my Academy Award winning negativity post from last Wednesday, I feel as though it is certainly time to touch on the better things in life...or at least that is where will start. Actually, I have some venting to do first.
Since I last talked about annoying noises, today I am going to talk about a fear of mine. Yes I have fears of frogs, (ask me about my basement on Noblet Rd, then you will see why!) drowing, knives and guns. BUT my biggest fear is in all honesty, being alone. I'm not talking in the sense of my mom going to Ireland for a week this spring and me being all alone in my house with my dog and cats...I'm talking in the sense that I am 21.5 years old and have never had a serious boyfriend. I've had a number of crushes but nothing serious...its actually a bit depressing. But when I get down about it, I just think that once I meet a guy I love, he will be "the" guy I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with. My favorite aunt in the whole world, my Aunt Dolores always says that she prays for me every night, but beyond that, something good is going to happen to me because I'm such a "good girl". I love you Aunt Deedee, I Hope you are right. :) Anyway, I think I'm just afraid of being 30 and not being married. I know that is fine for some people but not for me. I have visions of my 3 children (2 girls and a boy... with names along the lines of Clara, Ashtyn and Noah) my amazing husband, a nice house, a dog and a cat, my teaching job and whatnot. Here I have my life planned out and I haven't even met my guy yet. I just hope he likes my plans :) Just grin and bare it, right Erin? Good things happen to those who wait as well, right?
Went to Chicago this past weekend...that was fun. Wish I had the guts to live in a big city like that.
Today was Ash Wednesday you Asholes - I cheated on the no-meat thing too. Maybe I'm just being rebellious, but I honestly feel as though abstaining from meat for 7 days during Lent is kinda dumb...and so is giving something up. Sorry God, don't take it personally.
I'm obsessed with reality TV...so sad. Only 4 more days of spring break is even sadder. Holy shit, I'm an english minor!
Quote of the day kids "En la boca cerrada, no entran las moscas." Ooh, thats a good one.
*And for a little comment to a boy who on his blog is basically giving up on the world or so I see it as that: Keep your head up kid, things will work out one way or another. Drink vodka - it's my best friend on a shitty day - what am I talking about? its my best friend on a good day. I used to think you were "the one" for me but you're not and I'm glad you aren't. You kinda scare me, but with that said, I'm always here for you.*
