Hooray for Friday....hooray for the fact that I only have 2 more hours here at work and then I get to go back to the apartment and be lazy. It's pure torture working here at the ASC from 1-5 on Friday afternoon...I am so not productive here, not that I would be at home anyway. Next semester they better give this shift to a new hire...

This week has been a very hard, short, fun week. On Monday I thought it a good idea to skip both of my classes that afternoon in order to go home and get to crackin' on my 5-6 page English paper which was due on Wednesday. But first I had to go to the bank, the post office and the grocery store...I managed to get back home around 3:30. I get home, and there is a message from my friend Kacie, wanting me to come up to Friday's to check out Bar Champs with her. I figure I can go, and have a drink and then be back home by 6 or so. Yeah, I stayed up there - having 4 drinks, spending a good $35 and not coming home until 7:30. Needless to say I blankly stared at Spenser's "The Faerie Queen" for a good half an hour before putting it off another day.... On Tuesday I went to work, classes, and tried to work on my English paper after classes because I knew we were going to see Miss Saigon at 7:30. Great show by the way - a tearjerker but a good show. Come home from Miller around 10:30 or so, write the intro of my paper and go to bed-mind you I have not even half a page written and it's due at 4 o'clock the next day!!! So I get up around 7:30 on Wednesday and bust my move on it. When it all comes down to it, I was in the computer lab up to a half an hour before class, and I ended up with 4 pages and a drawing...I hope that will do it! Not to mention the Geography test I sacrificied and probably failed on to get this damn paper done.

Needless to say, Wednesday night it was Wayside night :) I got rather trashed and supposedly danced with every guy that crossed my path...I remember that, but I am claiming that I don't. Alcohol is fun because you can act that way, but that is definitely not a good thing sometimes. Last night the roomies went to Waldo's but I just stayed home. My eye was all jacked up from a "corneal abrasion" and I looked like Kujo in one eye so I just hung at home by myself...watched some Jackass and went to bed.

I think I'm becoming obsessed with tv, maybe thats why I dont get any work done. Every night I watch Will & Grace at 6:30 and 7:30 and if I'm lucky I catch it again at 11:05 - I just love Karen on that show...she's my role model :) Monday nights theres Raymond, Tuesday Real World, Wednesday The Bachelor (totally rooting for Brooke!), Thursday Friends, Will & Grace, and ER (the best show ever!!!! Im in love with Carter thank you very much) and Friday there really isnt anything. TV is wrong...I need to just turn it off-damn cable!!! Last year I didnt have this problem because we didnt have cable and my roommate was horrible.W

What else is going on...not going home until Thanksgiving...my Spanish prof assigned me a book to do a presentation on-what is the book about? Prostitution!!! Thanks Mariola, big high five for that one!...Spanish paper due next week, gotta pick a topic for my Women's Studies research paper-too bad my prof in that class is a fruit loop. Long story.

And to end...a wonderful quote...

"There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real." Now who hasn't felt that before?

So I've been home in beloved D-town all weekend and I have managed to do a whole lot of NOTHING! On Friday, my plans to have dinner with a friend were cancelled so I decided to take my favorite little girl Elizabeth (I have been babysitting her for 6 years now) to Great Lakes Crossing. My intentions were to buy a gift for my dad's birthday, maybe have some dinner and enjoy my time with her. Yeah, I did that and spent about $100 in the process! We played at Gameworks, had dinner at Rainforest Cafe and did some other random stuff-it was fun though. It's nice to hang out with a 9 year old because I know she looks up to me, and I totally melt in her hand when she tells me I'm her best friend :) Saturday was my Dad's 50th birthday so my brothers and their families and I took him out to dinner and had cake-it was great. I miss my dad when I don't see him too much. Other than that, I stayed home today trying to do homework and being lazy. Too bad I have a freakin' 5-7 page paper due on Wednesday that I haven't even started with...that MUST get done tomorrow. Can't wait for Miss Saigon on Tuesday!

Funny comment made by my brother Che' yesterday @ dinner...we were talking about drinking (I enjoyed a daiquiri with dinner) and he said I was an alcoholic. I was like, "Che, no I am not." And he replies, "Erin, the first step is denial." Thanks brother, I love you...=)
