I wish I had something to say that sounded wise about this war, but I just don't. I don't exactly understand it in the first place, but I can't say if I am anti-war or for the war. I know Sadaam isn't the coolest cat out there, but then again war is not a good thing for anyone involved really. I saw a quote on MTV yesterday that said "The purpose of all wars is ultimately peace." That is very true, but I'm just worried about the expense we as the US as well as other countries and their people will suffer because of that.

Speaking of war, wouldn't you figure the rap mix CD i put in, out of the 10 or so I have...it has "Bombs Over Baghdad" on it. Good tune, (Outkast rocks) just a bad time.

Anyhoot, (that's my new word - I've claimed it, like Jack did on Will & Grace with "Stake it!") my mom is coming for the weekend to visit, that should be entertaining. I am exceptionally poor right now, so she is gonna have to float me a loan and buy me some groceries. Moms, what would we do without them? The stupid girl that lives below us put her laundry in the washer at like 3:15 and guess what, it's STILL there! I love waiting on 3 freakin' dryers for over 2 hours. What a bitch. I'm in a bad mood today, I just woke up that day. Don't you hate those days?

My first meeting for Burgos was last night and I'm so torn up about the whole thing. I really want to go but I'm worried about traveling, money, living in the dorms, living with a family, being away for FOUR months, etc. I just need to say "fuck it" to everything in my life and just do it, but I'm not that brave yet. It's easy to be there for 2 months and then decide it's time to come home. Yeah, can't really drop out of school there...not cool. On that note, 1 year from now I will be GRAD U - FUCKING - ATED! There is a pot of gold at the end of rainbow, although I definitely don't feel it will have to do with my career choice.

Alright, time for me to go see if bitch downstairs took her thongety-thongs out of the dryers yet.

Okay, before I post about this whole war thing which is overwhelmingly depressing, I will start on a high note.

Last night, Becky B, Beth and I went to our first Wayside Wednesday since the beginning of the semester. It was long overdue :) It kinda sucked because we watched American Idol before we left (Charles, why him?) and then the whole air raid drills in Baghdad thing came on the news around 9:20 or so. That sooo reminded me of the Gulf War, because although I was only 9 and didn't really know what was going on, I remember seeing that on TV. Anyhoot, we went to Wayside around 10 or so and it was very lull for a Wednesday night. All in all, it was fun - I drank too much, danced my booty like it was my "birfday" and spent money I certainly didn't have.

A few quotes from last night...I've decided I need to start a quote book.

"It's the Mickey Mouse Club for adults!"~Beth, about American Idol.

"Does it look like poo?"
"Yeah, it looks like I just got done sucking a piece of crap." ~comments made by Becky B and I when she asked me if I had any chapstick, and I told her all I had was my brown kind.

"Do you have a band-aid?"~Some girl in the bathroom at Wayside. Seriously though, does anyone take bandaids with them to the bar? I don't even take a purse!

Now, on a more serious topic...the war. I don't know how I feel about it. My mom and I were talking last night, and we were saying how we haven't paid much attention to this whole deal up until now. Basically because we don't have any loved ones in the military, therefore we don't have anyone to worry about really and in all honesty, I paid more attention to Elizabeth Smart's homecoming than I have to any of this. But now it's real, and it's going to affect us. I do think they are going to retaliate on us, and that scares me. It might not affect me, but I'm scared of it all the same and it's not cool looking in the sky and worrying about what you may or may not see. It's like a death - even though you try not to think about it, there is still a void that affects you just as well. *Sigh* I guess you just pray to God, and what is meant to be, will be, right? I just hope this doesn't cancel my trip to Spain. That's selfish, I know.

Blah.

I don't have anything exciting to say. My life is filled with sleep, the overwhelming desire to sleep, eating, Will & Grace, work, homework, slacking, etc. I need to work harder and go out more. Damn, no freakin' $$$...that sucks my BUTT!

Quote for the day, "War is bad." That's my own words, but I'm sure someone more clever than I has said it before.

First meeting for Burgos 2003 tomorrow, whoo hoo!

Check out my MSN webpage...it's got pictures :) I don't know how this freakin' link thing works, so just do the ole' cut and paste, ya hear? http://groups.msn.com/erinssomethingoranother
No WWW, otay?

Peace out, and I do mean peace.

I've come to decide that I really do need a boyfriend in my life. As of last night, I started really missing someone I've never had a really good relationship in the first place, and I think that is basically because I want a guy in my life...I don't think it's specifically him. Sad but true.

I've been meaning to write a little bit about Elizabeth Smart. Seriously though, a month ago - would anyone have predicted that it would have ended this way? What a heartwarming story. It's just sad to think that only 1 in about 39,099 (thats my own figure) cases such as that come out that way. I certainly don't expect Laci Peterson to come out of the woodworks one day perfectly healthy with a baby boy in her arms, ya know? I'm so into Current Events, but not the war. I would love to be a Current Events teacher :)

Last night I went with my mom and Jim up to my Grandpa's old bar. When I was little, my grandpa owned this nice little bar in Flint that did pretty good business. I used to get dragged in there ALL the time by my grandma and mom for "one drink". Yeah, that always ended up being about 4 beers and 2 hours later - but I always got money to play the jukebox, and got to pour my own Cokes so I didn't complain. It was sad to go there last night and see all those old memories, in the hands of someone else. The bar still looks the same, but it's not my Grandpa walking behind those counters, it's not his customers in there. You never realize how much you miss someone until a moment like that. My grandpa would be so tickled to see me in his beloved bar drinkin' a Captain and Coke with my mom and Jim. Man, I miss him. It's amazing how much a family can fall apart when someone such as a grandfather dies.

Do you ever wonder what would happen if people, like animals, came into heat? My beloved kitty Delaney was in heat this weekend and she drove me NUTS! But seriously, imagine if people were like that. They'd be screaming/moaning at the top of their lungs and sticking their asses in the air to get a "piece of ass". But when it's done, they'd be satisfied for a month or two, and not need anymore. I wonder if that would raise or bring down the birth rate in the US...hmmm...

On that note, I shall end this rather blah-ful blag. My quote for today is from City High's song, "Caramel" since I was listening to that on the way back to Kalamazoo today which was a BEAUTIFUL day out...67 degrees!

"Ya know I'm not a virgin, that don't mean I'm having sex with ya'."

Such a true line...I'm not saying I'm talking about myself, but about girls in general. Just because they aren't virgins don't mean they are hoochies, yo! Double standards are CRAPOLA!

G'night sugar pie ;)
